With summer on my mind, here is my Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge Card #8

Don't you just love this, a vintage image of a young boy sailing his homemade boat out on the lake. Brings you back, doesn't it? Lots of goodies on this card and techniques - I am terrible at card recipes, not good at food recipes either! I'll try: Again this is two postcard images, as it is popped and offset a tad (like a pinch or a dash in food recipes, LOL) I used a designer paper pack and bronse ink on the blue paper for the design and chocolate pearls (not real chocolate) as an accent and sky blue ribbon on the corners to follow the sketch and those two ivory braided pearl thingies from the notions department. I liked the braided accents even if the card front has a little boy. I finished off the inside and has a matching envelope, not shown.

Stop on by to the other design teams kitchens to see what they are cooking up with their recipes. Thank you for stopping by. Jane

Someone PLEASE let me know when this Bobber goes under!

We are back from our Mini-vacation and had alot of fun and are now greeted by two angry cats and a mound of dirt laundry!

We did a lot of fishing and I am showing you my dry bobber. Of course, I was out fished! Also I am showing you a Bald Eagle standing guard over their large nest - it is HUGE and also saw the two babies in there that are not ready to fly. We stayed with some friends of ours that were very gracious to extend an invitation to us. Many Thanks!

"Salute to Summer", I'm lovin' the summer!! This is Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #7.

Hello,
I'm showing you a little Americana today! Makes me think of hot dogs, baseball and Apple Pie, and not in that order.

What is it you say, no - not a stamped, or digi image - it's ** an altered postcard **. I sniped off wording in the lower section and did some surgery and resewed the postcard back together. I added some buttons and cut-up some blue hearts, dry embossed them and added some white ink to the borders, topped it off with Prima flowers, a white star brad and hemp cording, and yes - you do see some red rick rack too. I really like this one and right in time for the 4th of July!!

Be sure to check out what the other design team members are creating. They are sure to be wonderful, have we ever let you down? Hop on over to the Midnight Madness blog at Priscilla's place to view and don't forget to enter a card. Thank you, you all make this so much fun.
*** HAPPY SUMMER***

My Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #6, and Simon Says Challenge (Birthday)

Sure is hard to believe that we are into Week 6 of the Sketch Challenge at Midnight Madness. The time is flying by - I'm really enjoying it and my design team members are great gals and have exquiste creations, go take a look at Priscillas blog, our official Midnight Madness Mistress. I also found out that Simon Says is having a Birthday so I entered this into their Birthday challenge and celebration. Okay, enough! Let me tell you about this card and matching box. I know you have all noticed that it is a Birthday card with the Stampin' up birthday frame on the front embossed in gold and lightly chalked and the yummy beaded and glazed cupcake and the go-together pink and chocolate papers and coloring. Notice I made three lollipop flowers for this challenge, I layered it using designer papers and put on a shiny glaze with Pearl EX. The Lollipop flower was featured at 'The Next Level' challenge site several weeks ago, it may seem that I am 'behind' but I did make this the same week it was featured, we make our challenge card several weeks ahead. PLUS I decided to make a box too, as a set, one may use both as a Birthday gift by placing a little something in the box or add a gift card. The box got the same attention as the card front with a Stampin' up frame gold embossed and then chalked and a yummy beaded and glazed cupcake a and a Lollipop flower attached. Thank you as always for visiting me, please feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear from you. Jane
