A Birthday card! Seems like you can never have enough of these. Very pretty, don't you think? I got this stamp set several weeks ago at Michaels so if you like it they should still have them in stock. Some of the highlights of this card is the paper piecing of the Birthday cake and it's layers, YUM. I love the colors in this card and the 6 x 6 paper pack I bought just for this. Also notice the lovely white ribbon surrounding the cake, each lace through is tied off in a knot before being laced again to the next hole, I think it adds some visual details. Today I am going to show you the envelope I created to go with this card.

I'm always remembering in the back of my mind that I want to try paper peicing sometime and always seem to run out of time to try it out. This stamp is perfect for the technique. I love how the layers of the cake are all different. :) Michelle

Jane I love how you paper pieced this birthday cake. The ribbon embroidery is daring on this and sure must have taken a lot of time to do seeing how your knotted each stitch!! This is really cheerful and exciting...it makes me want to celebrate!!!
