My seasonal FIRST

 Garage Sale . . . . . . . .

And a matter of fact, I was a major contributor to the sale. LOL, NO, I did not buy my own stuff back! One of my sisters is moving and really cleaned house!!!! I did also, I had around 20 good sized boxes myself plus an area rug and other items that do not fit into boxes well. My sister had AT LEAST 5 times what I had and these were, the key word here is WERE her items. The chair is kinda wild, LOL but I like it, it is a mid size chair, not a child but not a full size, I like to sit in it and so far I have not broken it (ha, ha, that is a joke).  I also got the white tablecloth to use as a ... well table cloth and a back drop to photo shoot my cards. The Irises are very pretty for not being "real", I can see those grace my table at some point, put in a clear totally round vase and lined with DP, Ahhh, I will show you if I do that in the future. Course the reserved sign I am not sure where that was 'lifted' from, did I say lifted? Surely NOT, procured from I am sure is the correct term. I love my new treasures.
I tell you the sale was tons of WORK, cleaning out the house was tons of work, wrestling items from the family - tons of work. Spending time with my sister, priceless. I can't wait to see her new house.
Have a wonderful day!!  Blessings, Jane

  4. Hi Jane! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me! :) I have been trying to clean out for a garage sale too. However, I put it in the pile and the kids drag it back out. Needless to say, I'm not making much progress. LOL!

    Your Easter ham looked DELISH!!

    Take care!

  5. Hi Jane,

Just wanted to stop by and say "Hi". Thanks so much for the sweet comments you have left on my blog lately. It's so nice to hear from you! Sorry I don't get by more often. Hope you are doing well. I had a little look around your blog. Your work looks awesome!

  6. Jane, I love all your finds and thought those irises were real!! Glad you had fun with your sister but I know how much work a garage sale can be, we have one once a year and usually do pretty good! My son does such a good job cleaning out his toys, we have a "keep" pile and a "to go" pile and for a 6 year old he does well to recycle his toys to children that need them!! Even though we already had a garage sale in November last year we are due for another one!!
Hope all is well with you and the family...see you on fb! Enjoy your new things and I can't wait to see where you put that sign!!
    Hugs,
    Charlotte

  7. Love that chair! Is it reserved for you? lol
I would love to hire you to come and run a garage sale for me. 20 boxes?! Wow! That's alot of work....and your sister having even more. Bet your sister's new house will be beautiful. Nice that you could spend some time with her. With all those goodies, I would have loved to have paid a visit to the sale. Good that I didn't though with as much as I have of my own to weed through. You have inspired me to get moving though. Thank you!

  9. You know what they say...one man's junk is another man's treasure!!! You guys sounded like you just swapped stuff. How fun. I love the chair and the sign. I am always looking for inexpensive chairs as we have a charity chair auction. The idea is to decorate or paint the chair in a theme and then it is put in an auction for charity. It is fun. For this chair, I see mermaids and seashells..lol Do you want to sell this?? lol Take care Jane!
